Although the USB device filled with an album of music has been used in the past for promotional purposes by a small group of artists, it needs to take that next step of making it the complete source for the album in it's tangible form along with custom artwork on the casing of the USB itself. In my opinion adding the artwork to the USB casing, identifies it, not only brings it to the level of a CD but actually surpasses it in potentials.
These potentials are numerous some of which have not been explored yet but for example in my USB album, it will contain the album in both WAV and MP3 formats (320 KBPS Encoded with artwork) as well as exclusive video of behind the scenes in the studio and elsewhere during the making of this new album. In addition, I am including a photographic album of my art showcasing not only California, in an artistic sense, but interesting bits and ends taken during the making of this album that invites the listener into the world of the artist in ways a simple CD can not give.
I want to take you into my world making this album and invite you to join me on this journey.

The way I see the future is not the CD nor even the USB, but something like the USB that can bring art, music and media to the next level.
The industry clings to the CD because it is reminisant of vinyl, but as we all know times are changing, this change obviously has lead to a digital format and perhaps 30 years from now into a bio-digital format, but still some people will want to own something tangible. In fact the idea for this USB came about for me, from people asking me to make CDs of this new album because they wanted to own it in tangible form, so I decided to create this USB album instead.
I peronally think the USB format is a lot better.
