A rough night but a start nonetheless

It was an incredibly difficult night last night, from the pouring rain to lack of a sound check or even proper line check, to drama with another band in the line up, to either an incredibly inept sound engineer or one that perhaps was a friend of band that had an issue with our start time, conspiracy theories aside, it was a rough start but a start nonetheless to SHAOLIN TEMPLE OF BOOM getting on stage.

We dealt with the situation we are given even if that meant dealing with perhaps the worst sound I have ever had to work but we dealt with it now it's time to move on, we will be playing more frequently and may have another show within the next few weeks in California, perhaps several new shows.

Here is a pic from last night's debauchery

I contacted Brett Lieberman who does the booking at VU bar and we will more than likely play a show there within the next few weeks,  Brett told me people there wanted us back.... from there we will build and build and play and play and come out with 2 guns blazing until some sort of outcome occurs.

As difficult as the show was last night with all the drama and so forth there were moments that were cool but as always this was a learning experience.

Here is Borja

I wish his guitar was louder last night, the sound engineer buried it so low for most of the night you could hardly hear it, but towards the end of the night I guess he corrected himself or Borja raised his volume cause it sounded half way audible in Into Nothing and Evil, which were the 2 clips I uploaded to facebook http://www.facebook.com/shaolintempleofboom

So in random news I looked on SToB's last FM page and saw that the similar artists to SToB has changed (Thank God) http://www.last.fm/music/Shaolin+Temple+of+BooM and now Celldweller comes up as a similar artist, I guess mostly because of SToB's association with FiXT store way back when....when FiXT and SToB were promoting for SToB to win the Wonka Battle of the bands....that's a welcome change cause the bands they had before "Kaos Krew" and so forth have absolutely nothing to do with SToB, Celldweller is at least someone I like haha...I got respect for him and all he's accomplished. ;)

After how badly last night's show went I just want to get out and do another one as soon as possible, I know things will go much better at VU and also at places where things are a little more....shall we say...."professional"

Alright enough of that....

We are going to try and video tape our next rehearsal...perhaps the whole thing...so maybe within the next email there will be links to more video footage of us playing...

If you didn't know I am down to my last few of XL sizes for the "I would destroy" shirt which is going out of print once it sells out, but what's really cool is that once you buy the shirt you can download 5 new FREE tracks that are even higher quality then what you can get on iTunes....and it's only $10 BUCKS! Check it here! http://shaolintempleofboom.bandcamp.com/
